Abstract

Abstract

Background: Based on data (WHO), the highest prevalence of stunting in each country is in the Southeast Asia region and Indonesia is ranked third after India and Timor Leste. Based on the results (SSGI) in 2023, the percentage experiencing stunting in Indonesia reached 21.6%, this figure is still far from the WHO target of 14%. The highest incidence of stunting in Indonesia is in the Yogyakarta Special Region, with the highest stunting being in Gunungkidul at 23,5%. Efforts to reduce stunting rates cannot be separated from the role og teenagers in their level of compliance in consuming nutritious.

Objective: To determine the level of compliance of young women in consuming nutritious food to prevent stunting at Junior High School N 2 Gunungkidul in 2024.

Method: Descriptive with a quantitative approach. The research population was early adolescent girls with a sample of 70 respondents. The sample in this study used purposive sampling. This research uses primary data.

Research result: Based on the results of research that has been conducted, the level of compliance in consuming nutritious food based on type among female students at Junior High School N 2 Gunungkidul who did not comply was 24 (58%) and 17 (42%) complied while the level of compliance in consuming nutritious food was based on number. those who did not comply were 14 (39.9%) and those who complied were 27 (65.1) and the level of compliance with consuming nutritious food based on the frequency of those who did not comply was 24 (58%) and those who complied were 17 (42%).

Conclusion: The level of compliance in consuming nutritious food based on type among young women at Junior High School N 2 Gunungkidul in 2024 with 17 (42%) in the obedient category and 24 (58%) disobedient. The level of compliance in consuming nutritious food is based on the number of young women at SMP N 2 Gunungkidul in 2024 with 27 (65.1%) in the obedient category, 14 (34.9%) disobeying. The level of compliance in consuming nutritious food based on frequency among young women at SMP N 2 Gunungkidul in 2024 with 17 (42%) in the obedient category and 24 (58%) in the non-compliant category.
