Formulasi dan Evaluasi Sediaan Body Lotion Spray Ekstrak Rosella (Hibiscuc sabdariffa L.)

Abstract

Skin is a layer or tissue that closes the entire body and protects the body from dangers coming from outside.
Moisturizing Lotion with Rosella Extract will be made in order to moisturize the skin using gelatin as an
emulsifier. The aim of this study is to extract rosella and formulated it in body lotion preparations with the addition
of gelatin 0.25% (F1) and 0.5% (F2). The body lotion was test by organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, irritation, and
hedonic test. The results showed that the results of the rendement met the requirements, namely 28.77%, in the
organoleptic test. In the homogeneity test obtained data suitable for F1 and F2 where homogeneous preparations
are obtained. In the pH test, the preparation has a pH of 7, this is in accordance with the requirements of the pH
test on the moisturizing lotio. In the irritation test, a negative result was obtained, where the moisturizing lotio
preparations made did not cause irritation so that they were in accordance with the test requirements. Hedonic
tests were carried out on 20 panelists were showed the results that the moisturizing lotio preparations made were
widely preferred. From all the tests that have been carried out it was found that variations in gelatin
concentrations had appropriate result.
