Culture and society are two sides that cannot be separated, because culture is related to mind or reason. Socio-cultural factors, especially myths that are still valid in a certain area, are one of the causes of complications for pregnant women, childbirth, and the puerperium. Many people still believe that the myths prevailing in their area are the remains of their ancestors who still have a significant role in the smooth process of pregnancy and childbirth. Knowledge of pregnant women about the myths that exist in their area will influence the attitude and behavior of pregnant women to check their pregnancy. Method: this is used with lecture model counseling and question and answer. The target audience in this counseling was pregnant women in the area of the timbulharjo village with a target of 7 pregnant women in 4 villages in the Timbulharjo area. Counseling activities are carried out on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, At 11.00 am until finished, in Glondong Village. Outreach results: There was a significant increase from the results of direct interviews with 3 pregnant women. This was evidenced by the answers of the three pregnant women who were able to distinguish between myths and facts. This is evidenced by the answers of pregnant women that these myths are not real, such as not being allowed to drink coffee, eat sushi, eat pineapple, eat durian. an average increase of 75%. Suggestion: Extension activities on Education About Myths Around Pregnancy to Increase Mother's Knowledge in Preparing for a Comfortable Pregnancy can be continuously improved by providing other materials that are more interesting among the community, so that many pregnant women are more scientific in responding to an issue in society.
