Abstract

Lampo Village is located approximately ± 30 km from Palu City . This village is located in Central Banawa District, Donggala Regency. This village is one of the villages bordering a protected forest area. The majority of Lampo villagers work as farmers and plant plantation crops. One that is often found even in the yard of the house is the Papaya Plant. The purpose of this activity is so that people know how to process papaya leaves as a drink that can be used as a diabetes treatment. Making herbal tea from papaya leaves as an alternative drink in the treatment of diabetes mellitus in Lampo Village, Central Banawa District, Donggala Regency, to increase knowledge about Diabetes Mellitus and how to process papaya leaves for herbal teas as an alternative treatment, especially papaya flowers . The results of the implementation of this activity showed an increase in the participants' knowledge, where all participants who were present were interested in trying to make this tea at their respective homes. In addition, it can be seen in the results of the pre-test and post-test or the results of quitiober that have been shared by the participants. The results of the questionnaire (pretest) which were distributed showed 12% good, 8% and 80% less. After the post test results showed 86 % good, 14% sufficient and 0% less. Based on these results, it shows that the PKM program was successful.
