Abstract

The nutritional status of children under five is an important indicator of the quality of human resources which influences the level of community welfare. Toddlers who have good nutritional status are able to meet their nutritional needs. Fulfillment of nutrition for babies 0-6 months is exclusive breastfeeding, after 6 months they require additional food (MP ASI) which functions to meet nutritional needs.

Community service activities are carried out with education regarding the provision of balanced nutrition for toddlers, with the aim of increasing parents' knowledge about how to develop a healthy and nutritious diet.

This activity includes socialization regarding food components needed by toddlers, such as carbohydrates, protein, healthy fats, vitamins and minerals.

The method used is lectures, interactive discussions and live demonstrations, it is hoped that parents can better understand and apply proper nutrition in everyday life. It is hoped that the results of this program can reduce stunting rates and improve the quality of life of children under five in the community. The media used are leaflets and flip sheets. The target of this service activity is Posyandu Dusun Srumbung, Segoroyoso with 32 women participating. Implementation of community service activities is part of efforts to increase public awareness of the importance of a healthy and balanced diet for the growth and development of toddlers. This activity is very beneficial for POSYANDU and mothers with toddlers to create a great generation.
