Abstract

Background: Patient falls are the most worrying incident in a hospital and have an impact on patient injury
and even death and are the second most common adverse event in health care after drug errors. Fall risk
assessment is the first element of a fall risk reduction program, a method of measuring a patient's risk of falling
that is performed by health workers on all patients. The existence of motivation is needed to encourage nurses
to carry out documentation so that the provision of nursing care to patients is sustainable, appropriate so as to
improve the patient's health status and improve the quality of work produced resulting in customer and hospital
satisfaction.
Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between motivation and documentation of fall risk reassessment
Method:This study uses a quantitative method with a correlation design. The approach method used is cross
sectional. This study used a purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 83 respondents
Result: from the results of statistical tests using Spearman rho obtained p = 0.000 < 0.05 and r = 0.635 which
means that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected
Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between motivation and documentation of fall risk re-assessment
at RSUI Kustati Surakarta.
