Background: Facing the transition from manual to electronic medical records cannot be separated
from the science of ergonomics where officers need comfort in their activities to be more productive
so that the quality of work becomes more optimal. Medical record storage management needs to pay
attention to the layout of the room, with the aim of achieving a productive and efficient work system,
without neglecting occupational health and safety.
Objective: To analyze Spatial Management with Modeling Design based on Ergonomics in the Filing
Room of the Medical Record Unit at Nur Hidayah Hospital, Bantul
Method: Descriptive method with a qualitative approach.
Result: The management of the medical record filing room at Nur Hidayah Hospital, Bantul, is not in
accordance with ergonomic aspects, especially the room area which reaches 12.8m2. Inadequate
facilities and infrastructure. Improper spacing between shelves. The light intensity does not meet the
standard. The standard room temperature is 24-26.5 0C. Humidity is not according to standards,
reaching 70-74%. Standard noise 40 dB. There is no SOP related to ergonomic aspects in the filing
room.
Conclusion: Spatial management with a design according to ergonomics can save several places so
that if a transition is made it can be used as a room for managing manual and electronic medical
record files as well as during the transition period. The temperature is up to standard. Noise does not
exceed the limit in the sense that it is according to standards.
