Abstract

Adolescence is one of the periods of human development when changes occur both biologically, psychologically and socially. One of the changes that occur in adolescent girls is marked by menstruation. Reproductive health problems in adolescents need serious attention. Reproductive organs in adolescents get less attention because of their relatively young age, still in educational status so that they seem free from the possibility of facing complications and diseases related to their reproductive organs. A young woman with various kinds of activities such as studying, playing and all her activities will usually underestimate things that are actually very important. Many teenagers who only take care of their outer appearance without caring about the health of the internal intimate organs. Teenagers often ignore the importance of healthy behavior, especially in maintaining the vaginal organs to avoid various diseases that are often found in reproductive health. The need for cleanliness is very important and must be considered, because cleanliness will affect a person's health and psychology, especially cleanliness during menstruation. Individual values and habits will also affect individuals in maintaining cleanliness. One of the efforts that can be done to maintain reproductive health in women is to maintain feminine hygiene during menstruation. Reproductive health education is one alternative, by providing information to adolescents to find out how to maintain female reproductive health in order to avoid reproductive organ diseases by providing knowledge about adolescent reproductive health, especially adolescent girls and how to maintain the cleanliness of reproductive organs.
