Abstract

The skin is the largest organ of the body that covers the entire surface. The skin serves as the body's defense against injury and pathogens. Healthy skin has characteristics of skin color, whether black, white, olive, or even tan. This means that there are no contrasting color differences in parts of the body, for example one part of the facial skin that looks reddish and dark (hyperpigmentation). To keep the skin color evenly, can use a mask. In this case, one of the masks that can be used is a mask made from the skin of the fruit and rambutan seeds. Rambutan fruit peels and seeds are often found in homes when the rambutan season arrives. During the rambutan fruit harvest season, the price of rambutan fruit is very cheap and creates a lot of waste, the utilization of rambutan fruit waste is still very limited. One alternative in utilizing rambutan waste is to use the skin and seeds of the rambutan as a mask. This rambutan fruit peel and seed mask was made as an effort to utilize waste and preserve herbal ingredients which were then socialized during community service implementation. Socialization activities to the community are coupled with free medical checks. The result of activity is that it can increase public knowledge through pretest and posttest questionnaires distributed to residents. The results of the questionnaire calculation showed that 100% of the residents knew and understood how to process and benefit the skin of the fruit and rambutan seeds after the socialization.
