Penyuluhan Tentang Pemanfaatan Umbi Lengkuas Merah (Alpinia Purpurata) Sebagai Terapi Terapi Asam Urat Di Desa Pekik Nyaring Bengkulu Tengah

Abstract

One of the plants that can be used as an alternative treatment is red galangal tuber (Alpinia purpurata) which has been empirically proven to be used as an antifungal drug for the skin, some chemical content in galangal tubers, namely, essential oil, the rhizome contains essential oils, antioxidants in it. Gout is a joint disease where the condition of the sufferer can cause symptoms of unbearable pain, swelling, and a feeling of heat in the joint area.The method of community service activities carried out in the village of Pekik nyaring hamlet four. the women of the taklim al-barokah assembly, Central Bengkulu district, totaling 60 people, by presenting material about galangal and its uses, then proceeding with the management of galangal tubers for gout therapy, After that, it was continued with questions and answers related to the material to evaluate the understanding of the material given a questionnaire as material for evaluating activities. The results of the service activities as a whole can be rated as good, judging from the success of achieving goals, it is scored good (60%) while not good (40%), the achievement of the material targets that have been planned is in good category (80%), and the ability of participants in mastering material in good value (80%). After counseling on the benefits of galangal tubers on gout therapy.
